What exactly does Enertwin optimize?

The most cost-effective sizing and operating strategy for battery, PV and wind at a site — across all revenue streams together (multi-use): peak shaving, atypical grid use, spot prices, procurement, PV self-consumption and green power.

“Real optimization” — how is that different from a simulation?

Many tools simulate fixed rules and show a plausible result. Enertwin solves a real mathematical optimization problem and provably finds the economic optimum — no heuristics.

What data do I need?

Essentially a 15-minute load profile (CSV/Excel) and the site. Grid fees, levies and high-load windows are added automatically. PV/wind can be existing or planned.

Can I model wind and battery on the same connection?

Yes. Enertwin computes co-location: wind and storage on the same grid connection including the feed-in limit — surplus wind can go into the battery instead of being curtailed.

Where is my data stored?

On servers in Germany (Hetzner), GDPR-compliant.
